NEWS FROM COUNTY, DISTRICT AND HQ

A new programme plus book and a new games book are due at the printers next month. There are 40 new programmes in the book and there is an emphasis on global challenge and beliefs and attitudes zones. This can be ordered through gaynor at our scout shop.

There is a new swimming factsheet FS120620. Please look it up before doing anything near or on water.

Shelterbox.org - there is a challenge starting in March, get badge at end of year. Brilliant for global challenge. There is no obligation to raise money and they send out lots of stuff!

Young leaders – more information to section leaders is coming out about the YL scheme – what they should/shouldn’t do/ missions etc.

Possible skills day to be held in the autumn as a lot of new leaders coming in were never scouts or guides and so need to learn basic practical skills.

In Touch – this is the new home contact system, which will be going live in Odiham from 1st April. Please read FS 120075.

Library visits and book readers badge – Hampshire Libraries are keen to help, speak to your local library manager and take the pack to the library one evening.
